Sales Tax

Menu along the top; Setup; Sales; Tax; Tax Authorities or Tax Groups.

Sales Tax setup is done with Authorities and then group authorities into Groups. Tax Group is what the Sales Staff and Customers will see on Popup List's and Print on Customer Documents.

WhirlWind Software is Setup to handle Sales Tax in Florida the Tax ONLY State after $5000.

Many areas require sales tax to be calculated at the address of the delivery. This can be very hard to track. In the WhirlWind Software you can enter the Zip Codes that are included in each Tax Group you are required by your state to track, When the Delivery Address is entered on the Customer Order's the System will Prompt your Salesstaff for the correct sales tax to collect on that Customer Order. On the Tax Group form in the 'Include Zip Codes' as 84003,84065,84119 the field is unlimited in size.

Authorities can be as simple as the State or complex such as State, County, City, Public Transit Area, Special Tax Area.
